Thunder hit Jesus's sculture in USA.

An enormous statue depicting Jesus Christ with arms raised to the sky in Monroe, Ohio was destroyed by lightning during a thunderstorm late Monday night and burned to the ground, said police on the scene.
The "King of Kings" or "Big Butter Jesus" statue is a familiar landmarks of Ohio and was owned by the Solid Rock Church on Interstate 75 just north of Cincinnati in Monroe. The lightning strike reportedly hit the structure around 11:15 p.m.
The 62 foot tall, 40 foot wide sculpture showed Christ raising his arms to the sky. Locals began referring to the art piece as "Touchdown Jesus" because he looked like a referee signaling a touchdown. It was made with fiberglass, plastic foam and a steel base which is the only part that survived the fire. The huge figure cost around $250,000. No word if it was insured or not. There were no serious human injuries reported in the incident.
Many times natural acts of destruction such as this were reported in the bible. Some could say that this was God sending a message about worshiping idols or perhaps pointing out the fact that so much money was used on a physical structure that could have been used towards a charity. Our take is that destruction comes in many forms and nature can never be underestimated.
In the spirit of this biblical themed post, we'd like to leave you with some of our favorite horrific bible quotes.
Gen 19:24 Then Jehovah rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire, from Jehovah out of the heavens.

Exo 9:23 And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heavens. And Jehovah sent thunder and hail, and the fire came down to the ground. And Jehovah rained hail upon the land of Egypt.
Deu 32:22 For a fire is kindled in My anger, and shall burn to the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with its increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.

Mat 26:51 And, behold, one of those who were with Jesus stretched out his hand and drew his sword, and he struck a servant of the high priest and cut off his ear.
Mar 5:12 And all the demons begged Him, saying, Send us into the pigs, that we may enter into them.
Mar 5:13 And immediately Jesus allowed them. And the unclean spirits went out and entered into the pigs. And the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea (they were about two thousand), and were choked in the sea.
Act 1:18 Indeed, then, this one purchased a field with the reward of unrighteousness. And falling headlong, he burst apart in the middle, and all his bowels gushed out.
Rev 11:18 And the nations were full of wrath, and Your wrath came, and the time of the judging of the dead, and to give the reward to Your servants the prophets, and to the saints, and to the ones fearing Your name, to the small and to the great, and to destroy those destroying the earth.
